Anna Donovan (left) and Patricia Crosbie, ballerinas with the Irish Ballet Company, perform a scene from 'La Ventana' during the filming of RTÉ Television's 'Folio - The Arts in Ireland', in Studio 1 on 4/5 March 1977. Donovan is dancing the part of the Signorina, while Crosbie is her reflection. Both are wearing Spanish-style costumes. This edition of 'Folio', the first in the series, was broadcast on 20 September 1977. At this stage 'Folio' was subtitled 'The Arts in Ireland' and 'The World of Books' on alternate weeks. A still from this shoot was used to illustrate an RTÉ Guide article about the series on 16 September 1977. |
