Irish musician Paddy Moloney during the filming of the RTÉ Television documentary 'The Blue Note', in Stillorgan, County Dublin in June 1981. Moloney is a member of the Irish traditional group The Chieftains. 'The Blue Note' was a documentary about Seán Ó Riada, written and produced for RTÉ Television by Seán Ó Mórdha. It was first broadcast on 4 October 1981; the accompanying RTÉ Guide article was published on 2 October 1981. RTÉ Television and Radio broadcast several programmes around this time to mark the 10th anniversary of Irish composer Seán Ó Riada's death. |
