RTÉ newsreader Maurice O'Doherty, in a publicity shot taken in the RTÉ Stills Studio in January 1981. O'Doherty joined Radio Éireann in the early 1960s as a continuity announcer and began reading the news in 1964. He retired from RTÉ in 1983. |
