John Keogh as Guard Duggan and Sinéad Cusack as Maeve Lynch, in a dance hall scene from the RTÉ Television production of Donagh MacDonagh's short story 'All the Sweet Buttermilk', during location filming in Roundstone, County Galway on 21 October 1968. A band are playing on stage. This play was broadcast on 14 March 1969 as part of the 'Stories of Ireland' series. The accompanying RTÉ Guide article was published on 7 March 1969. 'Stories of Ireland' was a series of dramatisations of short stories by well-known Irish writers. |
