Description | A scene from the RTÉ Television drama 'The Last Eleven', during studio filming on 18 May 1968. From left to right; Séamus Forde as Canon Sheridan, Eoin Ó Súilleabháin as Father Donnelly and Noelle Middleton as Deborah Mayne. This play was originally written for the stage by Jack White, then Assistant Controller of Programmes at RTÉ, and won the Irish Life Drama Award in 1967. It was first broadcast on RTÉ Television on 14 November 1968. White wrote an article about the play which was published in the RTÉ Guide on 8 November 1968. | |
