RTÉ staff at the opening of the station's new radio studio in Dáil Éireann in October 1986. John 'Danno' Halloran, the head of RTÉ's Oireachtas Broadcasting Unit is first left; the man beside him is sound engineer Mick Nolan. Standing behind them, from left to right, are; Barbara Fitzgerald, Colm Brennan, Linda Sherlock (all RTÉ News reporters) and John Ellis (RTÉ Newsroom sub-editor). A report on the opening of this studio was published in RTÉ's staff magazine 'Access' on 30 October 1986. |
