A pub scene from the RTÉ Television play 'Shadows in the Sun', during filming in Studio 1 on 9 February 1967. 'Shadows in the Sun' was about the men who occupied Dublin's hostels. It was written by Dr Maurice Davin-Power, a medical doctor and playwright. He was a District Medical Officer in Dublin at the time this play was broadcast, and many of the hostels in the city were his medical responsibility. The play was broadcast by RTÉ on 6 April 1967. Davin-Power wrote about the play for the RTÉ Guide of 31 March 1967. |
