| Description |
High Court Judge Liam Hamilton in a shot taken in his home for RTÉ News in October 1979. He was the presiding judge in the Lord Mountbatten trial at the time. Liam Hamilton was appointed a High Court judge in 1974. He was made President of the High Court in 1985 and Chief Justice in 1994. He was the judge in charge of the tribunal of inquiry into the beef industry from 1991-1993 and the author of its report published in 1994. |
