Description | Jim Culliton, the Chairman of the RTÉ Authority, makes a speech at the unveiling of Marjorie FitzGibbon's statue of broadcaster Eamonn Andrews, in the reception area of the RTÉ Television Centre building on 15 September 1988. Eamonn Andrews was the first Chairman of the RTÉ Authority. Sitting on the right, from left to right, are; An Taoiseach Charles Haughey (who unveiled the statue), Eamonn's widow Gráinne Andrews and Minister for Communications Ray Burke. A cameraman can be seen on the right of shot. The RTÉ staff magazine 'Access' published a report on the ceremony in its issue of 22 September 1988. | |
