A scene from the RTÉ Television young people's programme 'Fortycoats', during location filming in Leopardstown, County Dublin, in December 1983. From left to right; Fran Dempsey as Fortycoats, Derry Power as Tony the Tailor (hands raised) and Conal Kearney as Sofar Sogood. Des Nealon as The Pickaroony is third left, partly obscured behind Derry Power. The first ever episode of 'Fortycoats' was broadcast on 7 January 1983; this shot may have taken during the recording of the 1983 Christmas episode broadcast on 25 December that year. |
