Description |
Irish singer Patricia Cahill, in a National Song Contest publicity shot taken in January/February 1967. This contest, which selected a song to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest, was televised by RTÉ on 12 February 1967. Patricia Cahill sang 'Back to the Hills' and 'Canavaun' in the competition. That year's National Song Contest featured five singers performing nine songs; the public decided the result by postal vote. RTÉ Radio also broadcast the competing songs on 11 and 13 February 1967. The RTÉ Guide previewed the 1967 National Song Contest in its edition of 11 February and published an article on the result on 24 February 1967. |
