| Description | Mel Lewis and the Jazz Orchestra perform during the Cork Jazz Festival, at the Cork Opera House on 23 October 1981. Mel Lewis is on drums on the left of shot. Several concerts at this venue were recorded by RTÉ Television and broadcast as a nine-part series, 'John Player Jazz International'. The first programme in the series was broadcast on 16 April 1982; Mel Lewis and the Jazz Orchestra's concert was broadcast on 21 May 1982. | |
