A partial view of the construction site for the RTÉ MW transmitter mast at Ballycommon, Tullamore, County Offaly, on 12 October 1973. This shot was taken for the RTÉ Engineering Department. RTÉ Radio 1's Medium Wave service played out at 3pm on Monday 24 March 2008. The antenna in Ballycommon remains in place for future usage. |
