The singers and musicians who performed in the interval act for the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest, during a dress rehearsal in Dublin's Point Theatre, probably on 12 May 1995. They were performing 'Lumen', written by Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin. Standing in the foreground, from left to right, are; Lillis Ó Laoire, Antaine O Faracháin, Pádraig Ó Cearbhaill and Peadar Ó Ceannabháin (all sean-nós singers) and the Ní Bhraonáin sisters Olive, Deirdre and Brídín. The musicians in the middle row are, from left to right; Evelyn Glennie (percussion, obscured in this shot), John Bergamo (frame, also obscured) and Mel Mercier (bodhrán). The three singers standing on a platform in the background, are, from left to right; Brian Kennedy, Nóirín Ní Riain and Máire Ní Bhraonáin. RTÉ Television broadcast the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest live on 13 May 1995; the accompanying RTÉ Guide article was published on 12 May 1995. The RTÉ staff magazine 'Access' published articles on the 1995 Eurovision in the issues of 11 May and 1 June 1995. |
