Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht Michael D Higgins examines the trophy presented to the winner of the 40th Eurovision Song Contest, on a visit to Dublin's Point Theatre during preparations for the contest on 11 May 1995. From left to right; Michael D Higgins, RTÉ Director-General Joe Barry and set design coordinator Alan Pleass. The trophy was designed by Kevin O'Dwyer. RTÉ Television broadcast the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest live on 13 May 1995; the accompanying RTÉ Guide article was published on 12 May 1995. The RTÉ staff magazine 'Access' published articles on the 1995 Eurovision in the issues of 11 May and 1 June 1995. |
