An exterior view of Mornington House near Trim, County Meath, the Victorian period building in which Atlantic 252's radio studios were located, photographed during 'topping' of the transmission mast at nearby Clarkstown on 13 June 1989. 'Topping' or 'topping-out' is the term used for putting the last piece of mast in place. Stills from this shoot accompanied an article in the RTÉ staff magazine 'Access' on 22 June 1989; this shot was published in 'Access' on 7 September 1989. The trading name of Atlantic 252 was Radio Tara, a radio station part-owned by RTÉ which was on the air from 1989-2002. |
