British actors Patrick McNee as Geoffrey Keeble (left) and Ian McShane as David Cleveland in a scene from the RTÉ Television/Comedia Entertainment Inc film 'Twice Shy', during location filming at the Curragh, County Kildare, in October 1989. Macnee his holding what appears to be a Mitsubishi Roamer 2000 mobile phone. 'Twice Shy' was made by RTÉ and Canadian company Comedia; it was the first production to be made under a new co-production treaty between Ireland and Canada. 'Twice Shy' was one of three Dick Francis stories filmed at this time; 'Blood Sport' and 'In the Frame' were made in Canada and the USA and were also shown on RTÉ. 'Twice Shy' was first broadcast on RTÉ Television on 7 January 1990; the RTÉ Guide previewed it on 5 January 1990. Articles on the film were also published in the RTÉ staff magazine 'Access' on 7 September and 23 November 1989. |
