An exterior view of the front entrance of Abbeville in Kinsealy, County Dublin, the home of former Taoiseach Charles Haughey, in March 1996. This still was taken to publicise the programme 'James Gandon - A Life'; Gandon was the architect who designed Abbeville. Haughey participated in this documentary which was produced by Loopline Films for RTÉ in association with the Office of Public Works. It was first broadcast on 8 April 1996. The RTÉ staff magazine 'Access' published an article about the programme on 4 April 1996 and the RTÉ Guide very briefly previewed it on 5 April 1996. |
