Irish songwriter Seán Monaghan, the winner of the RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta song contest, 'Réalta '96', with the judges at the presentation in Casla, Connemara, County Galway, in December 1995. From left to right; musician Fiachna Ó Braonáin, Seán Monaghan, singer/musician Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, singer Maighread Ní Dhomhnaill and unidentified. 'Réalta '96' was broadcast on Raidió na Gaeltachta; the winning song qualified for Eurosong '96. A brief article on the winner was published in the RTÉ staff magazine, 'Access', on 25 January 1996. |
