Tommy Byrne of Irish traditional/folk group The Wolfe Tones, plays acoustic guitar with the group on the RTÉ Television series 'The Music Makers', during programme recording in Studio 1, probably in November 1973. This second series of 'The Music Makers' was in twenty parts and featured well-known performers from a number of different musical genres; a similar series with the same title had been broadcast in the summer of 1973. The first episode in the second series was broadcast on 26 September 1973; the programme featuring The Wolfe Tones was originally due to air on 10 December 1973 but was postponed until 9 January 1974. The RTÉ Guide previewed the entire second series on 28 September 1973. |
