Irish actor Donal Donnelly as the Government Inspector in a scene from the RTÉ Television adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's play 'The Government Inspector', taken for the RTÉ Guide during filming in March 1969. This photo was published on the cover of the RTV Guide on 11 October 1969. The photo publicised an article in the Guide detailing the play and its characters. This production of 'The Government Inspector' was first broadcast on 15 October 1969 as part of RTÉ's 'Television Theatre' series. The play was translated from the Russian by Tomás Tóibín. An RTÉ Guide article about the play was published on 10 October 1969; stills from this shoot were used to illustrate that article. |
