| Description | A view of the Grand Canal where it widened into Portobello Harbour, Dublin city, in 1952 or 1953. This area was sometimes known as Portobello Basin. Reflections of surrounding buildings can be seen in the water. The large building on the left is Portobello House; it was a nursing home at the time this picture was taken. Portobello Bridge can be seen in the right background. | |
