Description |
A view of the entrance to a house on Gloucester Terrace, Lower Sean MacDermott Street, Dublin city, circa 1953. Sean MacDermott Street was originally called Gloucester Street. There were six separate houses situated behind this facade, originally numbered 1 to 6 Gloucester Terrace, then re-numbered 45 to 50 Lower Gloucester Street and finally 45 to 50 Lower Sean MacDermott Street. Gloucester Terrace was demolished later in the 1950s to make for an ESB (Electricity Supply Board) substation. Nevill Johnson notes this building is 49 Lower Sean MacDernott Street. *Note the area of negative damage on the left of frame.* |
