Broadcaster and writer David Hanly, in 2001. A similar photo from this shoot was published in an article in the RTÉ Guide on 23 March 2001. The article featured an interview with Hanly about his career and upcoming RTÉ Radio 1 poetry programme 'The Enchanted Way'. David Hanly joined RTÉ as a Radio Éireann journalist in 1963, a position he held until 1970. He left RTÉ to become a publicity officer with Bord Fáilte and a freelance writer, but rejoined the station in 1981 and went on to present 'Morning Ireland' in 1984. He also presented an award-winning series of television interviews, 'Hanly's People' in the 1980s. |
